Dayuma Shigra No.01
Traditional Waorani shigra bag handwoven from naturally dyed chambira palm fiber, historically used to carry forest harvests, fishing catches, and personal belongings. An ancestral weaving tradition passed down through generations of Waorani women, its intricate, open weave is remarkably strong, flexible, and lightweight. Finished with a hand-carved tagua tassel closure, the piece was developed in collaboration with Waorani artisans of the Obepare community in the Ecuadorian Amazon and Essentially Mindful.
